My children have been going to Rockingham Music School for vocal and piano lessons since 2013 and have learned an incredible amount about music in this time. They have been given the opportunity to learn music theory as well as their practical lessons and Louis introduced them to the curriculum for the Australian Music Examinations Board exams which they sit at UWA each year. Louis has extensive music knowledge and expertise which has given my children the ability to learn about music production and performance and they are given the opportunity to show their progress by performing at concerts twice a year. Louis provides great support and guidance and his passion for music and teaching shows in his dedication to his students. Rockingham Music School provides excellent music education.

Since starting at Rockingham Music School three years ago, I have gained more confidence in myself not just musically but in general. And it’s noticed by all who know me. I have achieved goals I had once thought were unattainable, and learned more and gained more knowledge in a field I am very passionate about.

Louis has taught me more than I ever thought he has a fun interactive way in which he teaches which for me makes lesson day a day I ALWAYS look forward to and have found more out about myself as I continue to develop through his amazing teaching technique

I have been seeing Louis as my piano teacher since I was about 9 years old. Before I met Louis, I only had piano teachers who thought that I was older than I was, and treated me as such- dumb. However, when Louis became my piano teacher, he realised how old I really was and saw that I was not a stupid 12 year old- but instead an intelligent 9 year old. Now that I have grown, I see that I have been lazy when it came to practice, but in all, I have learnt so much from Louis, whether it be Music Theory or Practical. The only way I can sum up Louis, which took some time to finally sum up my summaries, is as an excellent teacher.

My son has been learning the Piano since he was 7 and never really enjoyed it. In 2008 we moved to Perth and he started with another music teacher. After about a year and going through teachers like there was no tomorrow Louis became his teacher and our son took to him like a duck to water. When Louis decided to venture out and start his own music school we were only too happy to follow. I have found Louis easy to talk too and very approachable. He also tells you the truth about how your child is coming along. I’m not saying that my son has always been easy to teach, and at times has been lazy in his practice, however with time, maturity and lots and lots of patience (from Louis) it has paid off.
